| The history of The Outdoor Circle is storied, filled with tales of heroic feats of activism since our founding in 1912. We’ve come a long way in the past 93 years, building on our original mission to plant beautiful trees and flowers in and around Honolulu. Throughout the years, we have scored a number of victories such as passing legislation to rid Hawai‘i of billboards, illegal signs and aerial advertising; protecting Hawaii’s historic trees by creating the Exceptional Tree Act, and preventing the placement of electrical towers on Wa‘ahila Ridge. |
