| The purpose of Aloha United Way (AUW) is to provide leadership to bring people together to create a healthier, more compassionate community.The United Welfare Fund continued operating under the Chamber of Commerce until 1938, when it became a separate legal entity. The new organization was renamed the Honolulu Community Chest and it briefly combined with the National War Fund for the duration of World War II. |
